Terms of Sale
General 1. These terms of sale govern all relations between F9 Languages in Brussels and its customer, except in cases of explicit deviation agreed to in writing by F9 Languages in Brussels. Through the mere act of placing an order, the customer adheres to these general terms of sale and, in so doing, renounces any general conditions and provisions mentioned on its own order forms, in its correspondence or commercial documents. Registration 2. Once registered, the customer is definitively and irrevocably liable vis-a-vis F9 Languages in Brussels, regardless of the payment of a deposit and subject to the provisions of articles 3 and 4 below. Cancellation 3. (a) Each customer has the right to cancel their registration, but may only do so in writing. In such cases, and if a deposit or the full cost of the chosen module has been paid, F9 Languages in Brussels will reimburse the amount paid minus €40 in administration costs for any cancellation made between 4 and 2 weeks prior to the start of the course or minus €80 in administration costs for any cancellation made less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the course. As regards ‘à la carte' programmes and private lessons, any lesson which is not cancelled at least one working day before the scheduled appointment will be considered as having been given and will therefore be invoiced. This possibility of cancelling lessons without incurring charges may be made use of on a maximum of four occasions per course of lessons. Any further lessons which are cancelled will be billed. 4. If the number of registered participants for a module is fewer than the minimum number as stated in the brochure, F9 Languages in Brussels reserves the right either to cancel the module with full reimbursement of the sum paid by the customer for the afore mentioned module or to offer a reduced number of lesson hours to that stated in the brochure and possibly adapt the price to these new conditions. By accepting this formula, the customer signals their agreement with the new hourly tariff. Registration 5. The prices listed in F9 Languages in Brussels' brochure include all taxes. Just as with the scheduled dates, the prices are purely indicative. F9 Languages in Brussels reserves the right to modify them according to circumstances. F9 Languages in Brussels undertakes to notify all registered customers in such cases. 6. A deposit is payable at the latest on the first day of the course module. F9 Languages in Brussels reserves the right to refuse access to a lesson to any person who has not paid the required registration fees, without prejudice to F9 Languages in Brussels. 7. F9 Languages in Brussels' invoices are payable immediately. Any amount which remains unpaid on its due date will be increased, as of right and without prior notice, by late-payment interest at a rate of 1% per month, as well as a fixed-rate penalty of 10% with a minimum of €50. 8. Any person who abandons a module remains liable to pay the total cost of the module, except in cases of force majeure. 9. The possible contribution of the public authorities towards payment, for example via the training cheque or language cheque systems, must be specified upon registration and occurs in accordance with the regulations in force. The customer must provide proof of the contribution prior to the start of the course and remains individually liable for the payment of the full registration fee should this contribution not be granted. This contribution may not be used in conjunction with courses which are the object of promotional offers or price reductions. 10. The premises and material made available to the participants within the context of their course must be used responsibly. Any damage caused will be charged to the person responsible. F9 Languages in Brussels reserves the right to forbid a participant access to a course if that person's behaviour prevents other members of the group from following the course in a normal manner. Any exclusion for disciplinary reasons will not be liable to reimbursement or compensation. Liability 11. F9 Languages in Brussels may in no case be held liable for any damage caused to the property of a customer by another or for any thefts which may occur during a lesson. 12. Any complaints must be directed to F9 Languages in Brussels by means of a registered letter no later than 7 days following the end of the course. Businesses and public institutions 13. As regards courses for businesses and public institutions, the organisation of such courses can only take place once F9 Languages in Brussels has received a purchase order signed by a person with power of signature. In the absence of a specific procedure on the part of the customer which is specified in a quotation request or on the purchase order, each lesson order will be invoiced for the total amount of the order by way of a down payment. 14. Any subsequent cancellation following the fourth cancellation during any one course module is automatically charged, regardless of the period of time between the date of cancellation and the scheduled date of the lesson in question. The methods of reporting are to be communicated to F9 Languages in Brussels prior to the actual start of each module, in the absence of which the standard procedure of F9 Languages in Brussels will be applied. Miscellaneous 15. Each registration entails the express authorisation for F9 Languages in Brussels to name the customer amongst its references. 16. These general terms of sale are subject to Belgian law. In the event of any dispute, only the Brussels district courts will be competent to preside.
3. (b) F9 Languages in Brussels will not reimburse any registration in the case of cancellations which are made following the start of a course module, with the customer being held liable to pay the full cost of the module, except in cases of force majeure.
